Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Brooklyn peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I decided to give them a chance for a major repair. The diagnose mechanic said at first it was my transfer case making a noise . They told me a price & they were providing the part (not cheap) which i agreed. They kept my car for 2 + weeks in which every call they were giving me the price was just going UP( i still agreed) fast forward they were unable to fix the problem(mind you i am not providing the part being fixed , THEY ARE) guess what , later on the diagnosed CHANGED and said it was the front differential this time and it was even more expensive to fix, (a totally different part from what it was diagnose originally. ) until i did not feel safe agreeing to their prices decided to take a second opinion. I told them to give me the car back so i can fix it elsewhere (which i did/ fixed up and running ) They still wanted / charged me $600 dollars to retrieve the car with the same problem i brought it in for(not fixed) In the end they did not fix the car , miss diagnose , and to add to matters WORSE they had also left my AXLE BOLT loose. This could’ve been catastrophic because i drove the car in the highway to get it fix elsewhere , called to resolve / reimburse some of

Went for a simple oil and filter change. I purchased and brought my own oil and filter specified and approved for my car which is turbo charged and needs an approved oil. Right afterwards I looked to find that clearly the filter wasn't changed, (it had road dirt all over it and the oil looked overfilled and dirty. So I went back and the mechanic assured me that it was changed. I asked to see the old filter and he said he couldn't show it to me. I contacted the manager and he changed the filter with a cheap generic one. Then I asked about the overfilling. so they drained some oil out and I saw that it was completely black, (impossible after driving for a few miles with supposedly an oil and filter change). So obviously they never changed the oil either. Got them to replace the oil and again they used generic non-approved oil. So I have start all over again after paying $50 for special oil and a filter. Obviously not going back there again. Don't know what they did with the special grade Euro synthetic oil and premium filter that I purchased. It's difficult to find reputable mechanics in Brooklyn.

I come here every so often to get my car washed. After the storm was the first time I got the inside washed and they did a fantastic job. My car mats were spotless. I then noticed they do inspections as I was paying. I came back today and they took me right away and completed the inspection in 15 minutes. It was the fastest inspection I have ever received. Highly recommend!

What started as a wheel bearing replacement (which I did before at this location) ended up costing me $2500+ and I then eventually HAD TO JUNK MY CAR. Everything was fine until I replaced my wheel bearings. Then my car began having issues with starting (out of nowhere). They told me that it was the o2 sensors, so they replaced those. Then the check engine light kept coming on and they then told me it was electrical problems, and charged me for an electrical diagnostic. I got an invoice that stated "replaced cables to computer that was chewed up by rats" (very weird diagnostic and expensive repair) When that was done, out of nowhere, the car started making noise when I would go over 40/mph, and the check engine light came on again. They told me I needed to bring it back when I called them, but up until that point I was tired of all the lies after they had taken all that money from me; only to leave me driving a banged up vehicle in the end. A week later, the car stopped starting randomly and I got stranded in a parking lot. It just didn't start anymore (The starter wasn't working). I had it towed to another shop, and the mechanics there told me that: 1) The O2 sensors were incorrec
